I keep watching this, and it keeps getting better and better.
I’ve seen a longer version of this video–it’s the same video, but it has one more scene at the end, where a bunch of dudes are catcalling the woman and then another woman tells them off, comes back to check if the first woman is okay… and then starts shadowing her, hitting on her, ignoring obvious hints of disinterest, and finally yelling abuse when the first woman walks away. I get why they cut it–catcalling is still OVERWHELMINGLY something that men do to women, and “see, one woman once did it too!” would be used as false equivalence and an excuse for men to keep doing it–but still, as a measure of how much our culture indoctrinates us with the idea that women are public property, it’s hard to beat a woman (who has almost certainly been catcalled herself) catcalling another woman.
