“Gee whiz Mr. Johanson, thanks for the extra study session. With all this extra help there’s no way I’ll fail my exams.”
“Oh Mary, I don’t think a smart girl like you has anything to worry about anyway.”
“Not for where I wanna go. It’s really starting to stress me out, that’s why I’m so happy for this help! I really didn’t expect you to agree to tutor me.”
“Why? Because of my bad reputation amongst the female students?”
“Erm…”
“Go on you can say it, I know about it.”
“I’ve just heard rumours that you were a bit of a womaniser and not really interested in your female students apart from for their bodies. I’m so glad you proved me wrong!”
“I’m glad I could too. Now tell me, have you ever heard of hypnopedia?”
“I don’t think so?”
“It’s also known as sleep-learning. If you’d like I could provide you with some audio tapes to listen to when you’re sleeping. They should help you cram in even more work.”
“You’d do that for me? Thank you Mr. Johanson!”
“Oh don’t mention it. Anything to help out a cute thing like you.”
“Hey Mary, it’s been a while. Been enjoying those audio tapes I gave you?”
“Like yeah! I listen to them every single night!”
“Good girl. Still keeping up with the rest of your work?”
“Erm like no? I mean like it all seemed so boring now. Your tapes teach me everything I need to know better than any of them ever could!”
“That’s right. Feeling a lot more confident about your exams now?”
“Yeah!”
“Why’s that?”
“Because like it doesn’t matter if I fail! Like there’s a job available at that strip joint around the corner. I can just work there instead!”
“Of course you can. And don’t worry about your parents if they start complaining. You can always come here and stay with me. I only have one bed but that’s fine, there’s room in there for two.”
