Magenta isn’t found anywhere on the visible color spectrum.
It doesn’t even have a wavelength.
I’m serious.
I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s time to stop lying to yourself.
I can’t believe I’m having an existential crisis over a fucking color
WTF?
You know what else isn’t anywhere on the visible spectrum? Brown. Gray. Purple. Pink. Rose. The overwhelming majority of colors.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t exist, that’s just stupid. How could magenta be one of the primary colors in the CMYK system–the one all printers use–if it didn’t exist? All it means is that they’re not how your eye interprets one wavelength of light, they’re how your eye interprets a combination of wavelengths of light.
