So my sub and I were talking about parades
And how gay groups banned from the Boston St. Patrick’s Day parade used to chant “we’re here, we’re queer, we’re IRISH, get used to it!”
And I’m not saying that I’m forming a group of English queer people to invade every other culture’s traditional parades, but hey, we’d throw good candy.
@midorikonton should not be blamed for this terrible idea.
OK, but You left out THE BIGGEST ARGUMENT WE’VE EVER HAD, over whether later groups removing “we’re Irish” improved the chant, which it very obviously did as “ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-BUMP-a-bump” is CLEARLY a catchier rhythm than “ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-BABUMP, ba-bump-a-bump.”
