I knew that Sersi Salivaria was here to seduce me the moment she walked in the room. As Mnemonica, I am superheroine and a telepath I can read people’s thoughts as easily as you listen to their words.
Salivaria’s thoughts were of how she would kiss me. She thought I was beautiful, and found my red hair and full lips inviting. Salivaria’s plans for me were mixed in with her memories of other people she’d kissed, other people she’d enslaved. She remembered the breathy sighs of arousal they let out as the scent of her breath washed over them. In her mind’s eye, Salivaria pictured their fluttering eyelids as her tongue traced their lips and they were lost in bliss. Her fingers remembered the tension draining from their jaws as they embraced the ecstasy of submission she offered. Salivaria remembered every detail of kissing her victims and making them hers.
Which is why she had me before our lips even touched.
